While the Royal Saskatchewan Museum was developing their new HOME exhibit, they reached out to a trusted team of partners including Christie Lites Sales and Ritenburg & Associates to make sure that the lighting enhanced their message of conservation and helped create visual interest to keep visitors engaged. It was very important for the long-term preservation of the organic displays (Bison, Whooping Crane, etc) that light levels were precisely calibrated and only applied to the exhibits when they are occupied with people.

Through the expansion of the existing ETC Mosaic system scheduled and responsive controls were applied to ETC’s ArcProOne-Micro fixtures for area and exhibit lighting, and tape light as accents.

The ArcPro Micros and their remote D2 drivers allowed for an unobtrusive, silent, flexible installation.
Coming in under half a pound, the Micro heads were mounted directly to the ceiling tile in the final days of the exhibit installation. This allowed light to be put precisely where it needed to be to create the depth and coverage required for lighting 3D objects and text plaques.

Museum exhibits evolve through their realization and build, and this systems expandability for changes allowed for the growth of the lighting right along with it.
